‘A great weekend in store for Forest and Notts’ – latest Banks of the Trent podcast

There were contrasting fortunes yet again for both Nottingham clubs in midweek.

While Nottingham Forest suffered a third successive defeat at the City Ground to Fulham on Tuesday night, Notts County were going three points clear at the top of League Two with an emphatic 3-0 win at Exeter City.

Fresh from a 4-1 thumping of Lincoln City at the weekend which took Kevin Nolan’s men to the summit of the division, the Magpies backed it up with a crushing win at the home of their closest challengers.

Daryl Murphy can’t believe it as a late chance against Fulham goes wide

Notts will put their six-game winning run on the line this weekend when they take on arch-rivals Mansfield at One Call Stadium.

Forest, meanwhile, welcome Sheffield United to the banks of the Trent who themselves are on a good run, having won six in seven including a 4-2 success at bitter rivals Wednesday last weekend.

A busy weekend for both clubs ahead of the international break for the Reds was one of the key discussion points in the latest Banks of the Trent podcast.
