Alex Hales still waiting for disciplinary hearing as he looks to resume his career in new T10 tournament

Nottinghamshire are yet to learn when Alex Hales will have a disciplinary hearing as he looks to resume his career.

Hales is not being considered for England games after a fight in Bristol that saw Ben Stokes arrested and forced to remain at home while England flew out to the Ashes.

Hales has reportedly been told he will not face criminal charges in relation to the matter and is understood to be pushing for a return to action.

He signed a lucrative contract to play in South Africa’s T20 Global League before the tournament was postponed for a year.

Since then he has joined Maratha Arabians, who will play in the inaugural T10 Cricket League in Sharjah next month.

However, Hales will need a no-objection certificate from Notts and the ECB to allow him to play in that. Notts will not stand in his way.

Despite his club not knowing when his case will be heard by the ECB, it is highly likely the matter will be resolved well before he needs to fly out for a tournament which will also feature Eoin Morgan, Adil Rashid, Chris Jordan and former Notts man Darren Sammy.
