The latest update comes from France, where Le10 Sport reckon Griezmann is definitely off in the summer and Camp Nou is the most likely destination.
They also report that Barcelona and Griezmann have been in contact for some weeks now and have pretty much reached an agreement in principle with the French international over a move.
Barcelona will then need to just reach an agreement with Atletico, and don’t forget it’s been widely reported that Griezmann’s release clause drops to €100 million on 1 July 2018.
It looks as though this may well be Griezmann’s last season at Atleti, but Barca can expect real competition from Manchester United, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and probably several other clubs.
The Frenchman has fuelled speculation of a move this week by answering “Yes” when asked if it would be a dream to play with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at PSG, according to The Independent.
It’s unclear if PSG could manage another big-spending summer, due to FFP, but what’s for sure is that Griezmann’s future will probably hog the headlines for some time to come.
