Bolton Wanderers see ‘no reason’ why they cannot claim first away win against Nottingham Forest

Bolton Wanderers are targeting a first away win of the season against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

And chairman Ken Anderson sees “no reason” why they cannot claim the three points at the City Ground.

The Trotters climbed out of the Championship relegation zone with a 3-1 victory over Barnsley last weekend. And after a seven-match losing streak, they have now tasted defeat just once in their last nine games.

That loss was a 5-1 reverse in their last outing on the road, against league leaders Wolves, while before that came a goal-less stalemate at Preston North End and a 3-3 draw at Sunderland.

Mark Warburton’s Reds will be looking to get back to winning ways after being beaten by Cardiff City and Ipswich Town. But Anderson is hopeful his team’s fortunes have started to turn as they prepare to make the trip to the City Ground.

“Forest will certainly provide stern opposition, but we have been extremely unlucky in our past couple of away games not to pick up maximum points, Wolves aside, and I am confident that the first league victory on our travels will arrive sooner rather than later,” he said.

“And with your superb backing which you showed in spades against Barnsley, there is no reason why that cannot happen this weekend.”
