How Nottingham Forest will line up for their Championship clash against Sheffield United

Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton made just one change to his starting line-up as his team looked to end a four-match losing streak against Sheffield United.

In their final game before the international break, the Reds took on the high-flying Blades at the City Ground.

And the only alteration to the first XI which fell 3-1 at home to Fulham in midweek was an enforced one.

Defender Matt Mills picked up his fifth yellow card of the season on Tuesday night, leading to a one-match suspension, so Danny Fox came into the side in his place.

It meant Forest seemed likely to stick with the 3-5-2 formation which they used against the Cottagers.

Nottingham Forest’s Michael Mancienne

Fox would join Joe Worrall and Michael Mancienne – the latter taking on the captain’s armband – in a back three in front of goalkeeper Jordan Smith, with Tendayi Darikwa and Armand Traore as wing-backs.

Liam Bridcutt would take on the holding role in midfield, with Kieran Dowell and Ben Osborn also in the centre of the park.

Daryl Murphy got the host’s only goal against Fulham and was once again paired with Jason Cummings up front, as the manager chose to stick with a two-man partnership.

There was, though, a change on the bench. Mustapha Carayol was left out of the matchday squad, with striker Tyler Walker among the substitutes instead.

Forest: Smith, Worrall, Fox, Mancienne, Darikwa, Bridcutt, Dowell, Osborn, Traore, Cummings, Murphy. Subs: Henderson, Lichaj, McKay, Clough, Brereton, Bouchalakis, Walker.
