‘It’s important to keep both Nottingham Forest and Notts County stable’ – latest Banks of the Trent podcast

A staggering 40 managers have come and gone between Nottingham Forest and Notts County in the last 20 years, and that’s something debated on the latest edition of the Post’s football podcast.

The Reds and Magpies share the unwanted stat which was highlighted after a study was carried out into the top 92 league clubs, and following on from the release of the data, Barry Cooper and Leigh Curtis took a closer look at the state of both clubs.

At the weekend, Notts were held to a 1-1 draw by a spirited Stevenage side and the pair were both at Broadhall Way to watch Elliott Hewitt’s first strike of the season to earn Kevin Nolan’s men a point.

With no game at the weekend for the Reds, we reflected on a tough night for Jamie Ward, who along with his Northern Irish teammates saw their World Cup dream end at the hands of Switzerland.

That caused a heated debate about the standard of refereeing across the game and you can listen to the full show below.
