‘Kevin Nolan’s attention to detail is the BEST of any manager I’ve played for’, says Notts County striker Jon Stead

Notts County striker Jon Stead says manager Kevin Nolan’s attention to detail is the best of any manager he’s played for.

The Magpies forward is loving life under the Notts boss who is renowned for his work in the classroom and video analytics.

It has helped put Notts top of the League Two table and they head to derby rivals Mansfield Town unbeaten in their last 10 matches.

Veteran Stead, 34, says Nolan is always striving for perfection which keeps players on their toes.

“He’s by far the best I’ve played under when it comes to attention to detail,” he said.

Notts County’s Jon Stead is enjoying life at Notts County.

“I would imagine it is easy to get complacent when you are a manager when the team is doing well.

“You may think ‘oh things are going well, they know what they are doing’ but you can’t do that.

“We are in League Two for a reason. Lads switch off and forget things and need reminding constantly.

“You need to keep getting on at people and never get bored of telling each other their job.

“That’s why I think we’ve also got a good bond in the dressing room.”
