Manchester City vs West Ham
Premier League leaders Man City are huge favourites to pick up another win on Sunday.
The Sky Blues, who have only dropped points in a 1-1 draw with Everton this season, take on West ham today.
After Man United beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, the pressure is back on Man City.
Pep Guardiola’s side will open up an eight point lead once again if they can beat West Ham.
Man City have now won 12 Premier League games in a row: A club record. Only Chelsea (13) and Arsenal (14) have gone on longer Premier League winning runs.
As for the Hammers, they are still searching for their first win under new manager David Moyes.
The big question for Manchester City is whether Leroy Sane returns after missing the Southampton win due to an illness.
As for the Irons, the Hammers are expected to be without Jose Fonte, James Collins, Javier Hernandez and Sam Byram.
With their next Premier League game at Manchester United on Sunday week, it just feels impossible that Manchester City will take their foot off the gas.
Vincent Kompany & Pablo Zabaleta
One of the key storylines on Sunday is sure to be Pablo Zabaleta’s Man City return.
Zabaleta joined West Ham last summer after a nine-year spell at City.
During his time in Manchester, Zabaleta collected two Premier League titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup.
Prior to the game, Vincent Kompany was asked about Zabaleta’s first match back against the Sky Blues.
The Belgian centre-half seemed to tease his former team mate claiming Zabaleta would be “dreading” the game:
I kind of feel he’ll be dreading this game as well a bit, knowing Zaba and knowing that he’s been at the Etihad and seen what the players can do if it goes wrong for you.
But knowing Zaba he’ll probably rise up to the challenge and probably have his best game of the season.
It’ll be great and this place is always going to be his home, no matter what.
Yes, it’s true. Man City to win 8-0 tomorrow is shorter odds (70/1) than for West Ham to win 1-0 (90/1) 😳😳 pic.twitter.com/zttDLVnGd9
