Nottingham Forest defender Matt Mills ruled out of clash with high-flying Sheffield United

Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton will be forced to make at least one change to his starting XI against Sheffield United on Saturday.

The Reds will be without defender Matt Mills, who will be suspended for the visit of the high-flying Blades to the City Ground.

Mills picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in Tuesday night’s 3-1 defeat to Fulham, which leads to an automatic one-game ban. And that will mean a change to Forest’s defensive line-up this weekend.

Mills has been booked in the last three matches he has played – against Wolves, Aston Villa and then the Cottagers. He also went into the referee’s notebook in the 2-0 defeat to Leeds United and the 4-3 win at Brentford back in August.

Warburton’s side will be looking to end a run of four defeats in all competitions in their final outing before the international break.

But they face a United team who sit second in the Championship table and have lost just one of their last six games.
