The Post received a letter from long-standing Forest fan Ian Treece, who believes Mark Warburton’s attire is to blame for the team’s current losing streak.
Please, please, please, would someone ask our Forest manager, Mr Mark Warburton to stop standing on the touchline in that very nice light grey suit, white shirt, red and white striped tie and black polished shoes?
Although Mark is immaculately dressed and looks extremely smart in this attire, I am afraid to tell him that the performance of the “Super Reds” has dramatically decreased and that we have not won a single game since Mark has been shouting his orders at the team dressed like man at C&A.
At the beginning of this season we had a excellent start, winning many of our games and playing some fantastic football, but that was when Mark came out dressed in a green football shirt, white shorts, or tracksuit bottoms and Adidas trainers. Very, very similarly dressed to the greatest of the greats, Brian Clough.
I can only ever recollect my hero Brian dressed in a suit when Forest were in any cup finals, and certainly not league or cup games.
Having been a supporter for the last 56 years and a season ticket holder, I would be so grateful if someone would point out the contents of this letter to Mr Warburton and ask him to oblige. Here’s hoping with fingers crossed.
Mr Ian Treece
