Chris Nash is already relishing the prospect of linking up his new Nottinghamshire teammates, but none more so than Luke Fletcher.
The opening batsman joined Notts from Sussex at the start of the month and is currently searching for a house in the area ahead of next season.
He says he has already been made to feel welcome by what he sees as one of the friendliest teams on the county circuit.
When asked who he was most looking forward to lining up alongside, he said popular Fletcher, who has already given Nash a nickname family associated with one of Nottingham Forest fan Fletcher’s heroes.
He said: “It’s got to be Fletch. The Bulwell Bomber isn’t it they call him?
“I’ve been added to the players’ WhatsApp group and he’s been at me already. He’s happy I’ve got squad number three.
“He’s already calling me Psycho after Stuart Pearce, which is nice. You get to know players over the years anyway.
“Guys like Steven Mullaney, Alex Hales and Harry Gurney, you get to know them. Notts guys have always been approachable. You can always have a beer with them after games.”
