The countdown to the 2018 World Cup ramps up significantly on Friday when the draw for next summer’s tournament in Russia takes place. 

With all 32 teams confirmed, England fans will soon be able to plot a viable route to glory for Gareth Southgate’s side as well as marking out other stand-out group games featuring the likes of Brazil, Argentina and defending champions Germany.

World Cup Draw – location and time

Russia’s capital city, Moscow, is where the eyes of the world turn on Friday, specifically the State Kremlin Palace.

The ceremony is scheduled for a 3pm start but as with most FIFA ceremonies, it will probably get going a while after that.
