Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has put a date on when one of his key players are set to return to the club in what could be a huge boost.
That player comes in the form of Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla who has experienced an incredibly unfortunate string of injury problems.
The player was once one of Arsene’s star men and was a fan favourite at the Emirates but injury problems brought that to an end.
There were even images released recently which shown his ankle needing a skin graft to save him from possibly having to have it amputated.
The graft was unfortunately taken from his left arm with part of a tattoo which housed his daughters’ name.
Now though, it looks as though his club luck could soon turn around with Arsene Wenger putting a date on his Arsenal return.
The Frenchman expects the player to return in January and could see a huge boost for the club both mentally and on the pitch.
“I feel really sorry for Santi,” he explained.
“He is a guy I admire, that we all love here, who came into training every day with a smile because he loved so much the game.”
“For him not to be available for us, it is a big blow.”
“For him, as well, it is something that is difficult to take and I hope despite what happened – I have been informed medically but I have not read any report – I hope he will be alright and back with us in January.”
An injury blow
While Arsenal are set to be boosted by the return of Santi, they have been dealt an injury blow.
The side faced Huddersfield last night and one key player suffered a serious injury.
