Bayern Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt has said that it is an “honour” to hear of reports linking him with a move to Barcelona.
While it’s unclear how much interest, if any, Barca have in Brandt, there has been plenty of speculation recently of Robert Fernandez watching Bundesliga games.
Fernandez has apparently been out to Germany to scout Brandt, Jonathan Tah, Leon Bailey and Benjamin Henrichs, according to Sport.
Brandt was asked about the reported interest from Barcelona and well he seemed pretty happy about it.
“This is an honour in any case, I will not deny that now,” he said. “Of course, this is always a sign that your achievements were not for nothing.
“And like I said, of course it reflects your performance on the pitch, but you have to block out something like that in the end.
“If you always float on a cloud and say: ‘I’m such a cool guy, because this club wants to have me’, this is the wrong way, because then you drop with your achievements.”

If Fernandez has watched Brandt in action this season, he is likely to have been impressed.
The 21-year-old has three goals and two assists for Leverkusen in seven Bundesliga starts and would be a cheaper alternative to Philippe Coutinho.
