According to reports in his native Brazil a host of Premier League giants have made contact with Shakhtar Donetsk contract rebel Bernard.
After several underwhelming seasons with the Ukrainian side, he has hit top form so far this season – though his current deal expires next summer, making him even more in demand.
He had been linked with a return to his homeland with Palmeiras, but Brazilian website UOL Sport claims that he would prefer to remain in Europe and is attracting lots of interest.
According to a source close to Bernard the Premier League now looks like that it could be his next destination, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all reaching out to the player’s camp.
Although the trio of English giants would prefer to pick Bernard up for nothing next summer, they could be forced to move for him in January if competition heats up.
But with only a few months to run on his deal, Shakhtar have set an asking price of just £11.5m – a snip in today’s market.
Bernard has long been heavily linked with the Premier League move since his transfer to Shakhtar in summer of 2013, with former Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas trying to bring him to White Hart Lane.
