‘Confidence is building at Nottingham Forest’ ahead of trip to Hull City

What a difference a week makes.

This time seven days ago, Nottingham Forest were heading into a home game with Nigel Clough’s Burton Albion knowing they badly needed a performance and result on the back of their 2-0 defeat at Derby County a week earlier.

Despite a first half where they huffed and puffed without success, Forest improved after the break going on to win the game 2-0, and suddenly the mood around the City Ground had been lifted.

Mark Warburton now takes his Reds to one of the last season’s relegated clubs, Hull, looking to make it three games unbeaten on Humberside.

Like Forest, Hull have endured an inconsistent start to their season and sit two places and points below the City Ground club, but won their last home game against Birmingham City 6-1.

A third win on the road in the Championship could see Warburton’s side move closer to the top six ahead of Tuesday night’s visit to Reading.

After speaking to Warburton and Joe Worrall at the City Ground ahead of Saturday’s game, Barry Cooper and Sarah Clapson previewed the clash at the KCOM Stadium.
