Heading for the exit
One Liverpool star has dropped a huge hint that he could leave the club at the end of the season, in what could be a big blow for the Anfield side.
That player comes in the form of Divock Origi who was once tipped for great things on Merseyside, as well as potentially outgrowing Romelu Lukaku.
Though, it never exactly went to plan for Origi as he struggled to find the net on a regular basis, despite impressing off the bench on a number of occasions.
That lead to the player seeking opportunities elsewhere, which came in the form of a loan move to German side Wolfsburg.
Origi has been impressive for the side having netted four times in 12 appearances but has struggled in recent weeks with his last goal coming at the beginning of the month.
Still, it is clear that Wolfsburg would like to see him stay on a permanent deal and now Origi has even given a huge hint that he would be up for that.
“Yes, sure. Anything can happen in football,” he explained.
“The agreement is for the loan to expire at the end of the season. Then I’ll return to Liverpool because I have a good relationship with the club and also with the fans.”
“But as I said, you never know what will happen. Right now, I am very happy at Wolfsburg and I’m developing well. It’s a great fit.”
“I like the soul of the league. Football is a way of life here, there are fantastic fans and great stadiums.”
“The atmosphere is unique. The league is very well organised. That impressed me a lot.”
