Mauricio Pochettino defends his book on Tottenham


Mauricio Pochettino has defended his decision to publish a book chronicling Tottenham’s 2016-17 season amid a slump in form in the Premier League.

Tottenham have taken only four points from five Premier League matches since the book hit the shelves, with Tottenham losing to Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester, while they also drew at home to West Brom last weekend. 

Tottenham are now 16 points behind league leaders and in 7th place ahead of the weekend visit to Watford.

The book, entitled Brave New World, is a searingly honest account that acts both as a biography of Pochettino’s life and a reflection on their last season. 

While the book details the secrets of Tottenham’s success, it also explains disagreements with key players such as Eric Dier during the campaign.
