Leicester vs Burnley: Premier League preview

Burnley have undoubtedly been this season’s biggest surprise package. Quietly going about their business, the Clarets now find themselves above Tottenham in the table and three points adrift from the top four.

Burnley moved up to sixth following their 2-1 win at Bournemouth on Wednesday night. Goals from Chris Wood and Robbie Brady sealed the victory before Josh King scored a consolation.

Burnley have now won four of their last five, keeping clean sheets in three of those matches.

On paper, Burnley are clear favourites for this one. Only Manchester City and Chelsea have taken more points than Burnley on the road this season.

Sean Dyche’s side have already won at Chelsea and picked up draws at Spurs and Liverpool. Their only blemish away from Turf Moor was a 3-0 defeat at leaders Man City.

But Leicester will be no pushovers if they play as they did in the first half on Tuesday night.

Claude Puel’s side beat Spurs 2-1 at the King Power Stadium courtesy of first half strikes from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez. The Foxes’ performance was reminiscent of their title-winning campaign.
